Transactions


To process a one-time transaction in the PayHub Virtual Hub:

    • Log into the PayHub Virtual Hub.
    • Click on either the 'Process a Card' or the 'Run Transactions' button (Both buttons bring you to the same screen!).

Running Swiped Sale


    • In the drop-down box for 'Payment Type', select 'Credit'.

 

    • In the drop-down box for 'Transaction Type', select 'Sale'.

    • Select the 'Switch to Swipe' button.

    • Swipe the card when you see the below pop up:

    • Enter the amount of the sale into the 'Amount' field.

    • Click on the 'Process Transaction' button to submit the sale.

    • You will see the 'Processing Logo', Processing then you will be taken to the 'Transaction Results' screen.

Running Manual Entry Sale


Note: You can adjust the settings for AVS and CVV on the Admin > (Risk/Fraud) Settings page.

    • In the drop-down box for 'Payment Type', select 'Credit'.

 

    • In the drop-down box for 'Transaction Type', select 'Sale'.

  • Enter the credit card number in the 'Card Number' field.
  • Select the credit card's expiration date from the 'Expiration 'Month' and 'Year'' drop-downs.
  • Enter CVV code in the 'CVV2/CID.

  • Enter the amount of the sale into the 'Amount' field.

  • Scroll down to the 'Billing Address' section, and enter the billing address (at the minimum you need to enter the billing street number and the zip code).

Running an Authorization Only


    • In the drop-down box for 'Payment Type', select 'Credit'.

 

    • In the drop-down box for 'Transaction Type', select 'Authorization Only'.

    • Enter in the amount to be authorized into the 'Amount' field.

    • Enter in the 'AVS' or 'CVV2/CID' information if required.

 

    • Click on the 'Process Transaction' button to submit the sale.

Transactionsent

Providing a customer email and phone number


To link a transaction to an existing customer or to create a new customer profile to associate it to, provide the customer email in the 'Email' field in the 'Customer' section of the 'Transaction' page. There is also a place to provide a phone number. (NOTE: To better understand how PayHub uses email and phone numbers in transactions to associate them with customer account please see the "Link Transactions with Customer Accounts" section of the "Customers" article.)ProcessTransactionCustomerInfo_797px

Capturing an Authorization that was processed by a PayHub product


Method 1 - Locate via the All Transactions Report


    • From the top menu, mouse over 'Transactions' and select 'All Transactions'.

    • Locate the Authorization. It will be identified with an 'Auth Only' designation in the 'Trans. Type' column. Click on its corresponding 'Trans. ID' to pull up the 'Transaction Details' page.

    • On the 'Transaction Results' page, click on the 'Capture' button.

    • This will cause the 'Capture Transaction?' pop up box to appear. You can change the amount to charge on the final transaction by editing the 'Amount' Field. When ready to submit the final sale amount, click on the 'Save and Submit' button.

    • You will then see the Processing logo appear.

    • After the Capture request is submitted correctly, you will be taken to the updated 'Transaction Details' page, showing that the transaction was successfully captured:

Method 2 - Locate via the Batch


    • If you know what Batch the original Authorization was obtained in, you can access it from within that batch. If it was a recent batch, you can quickly locate it by going to the 'Home' page, then scrolling to the 'Last Five Batches' section. There, Click on the 'Batch ID' to see the transactions within that batch.

    • You will notice the 'Authorization Only' transaction will have a 'Capture' link in the 'Function' column.

    • Click on the 'Capture' link, and you will see the following pop up box appear:

    • You can change the amount to charge on the final transaction by editing the 'Amount' field. When ready to submit the final sale amount, click on the 'Save and Submit' button. You will then see the 'Processing' logo appear.

    • After the capture request is submitted correctly, you will be taken to the updated 'Transaction Details' page, showing that the transaction was successfully captured:

Running an Offline Sale


Offline Sales are used to process authorizations that were NOT obtained via a PayHub product.

    • In the drop down box for 'Transaction Type', select 'Offline'.

  • Enter in the 6 character alphanumeric Authorization Code or Offline Approval code (obtained during the initial authorization) into the 'Offline Approval Code' field.
