Mobile Hub Known Issues


All Systems

  • 1.x versions of the app might be unresponsive when using the Forgot Password function with an account that is locked. Please upgrade to version 2.x or higher.
  • 1.x versions of the app might show incorrect total amounts, when including a transaction that has been voided. Please upgrade to version 2.x or higher.
  • 1.x versions of the app might fail to save your settings after logging out. Please upgrade to version 2.x or higher.
  • 1.x versions of the app might fail to show the proper alert to locked users that attempt Forgot Password. Please unlock your accounts and upgrade to version 2.x or higher.
  • Low-resolution cameras might have difficulty scanning barcodes correctly. Please double check that the receipt number scan matches the number on the receipt.
  • Printing full color logos might result in artifacts.
  • Connecting a swiper might prevent the ability to use dictation as an input method.
  • In rare cases, swipers might lose their connection. Manually quitting the app via task manager (Android) or sleeping the device (iOS) might restore its connection. Please ensure that you are running the latest version of the app.
  • Mobile Hub is localized for US English. Unintended behavior might result when using the app with other international keyboards or languages.
  • Mobile Hub requires a data connection. Some networks, such as Verizon, do not support voice and data at the same time. Running the Phone feature on your phone might interfere with Mobile Hub's data connection.
  • Switching to another app that uses audio (such as Phone or Music) might result in an unresponsive swiper. Please halt any active calls or playing of music (including audio sent through Airplay, Chromecast or Bluetooth). Disconnect and reconnect the swiper.
  • Tips that are entered during the capture process of an Auth Only might not save correctly if another tip amount was previously entered. For Auth Only captures, please enter the tip amount through the Edit Info screen in Receipt View Options.

All iOS Devices

  • Devices running iOS 6.1.x are unable to print with the Blue Bamboo receipt printer. This is a known issue of iOS 6.1.x. Please use receipt printers on iOS 6.0.x or lower.
  • Some devices running iOS 7 might ask for permission to access the microphone. To ensure a functioning swiper, please grant this access. If you accidentally turned this permission off, turn it on by going to Home > Settings > Privacy > Microphone > PayHub.
  • To ensure a functioning swiper, please do not use when your iOS device has a 30-pin (old style) USB connector cable or Lightning cable connected to it.
  • To ensure a functioning swiper, please turn Mono Audio off by going to Home > Settings > General > Accessibility.

All Android Devices

  • 1.x versions of the app might fail to recognize a swipe on rare cards. Please upgrade to version 2.x or higher.
  • Using the app on a screen larger or smaller than its intended size (480x800px) might position screen elements in unintended places.
  • Samsung Continuum and Replenish phones are no longer supported by our swiper.
  • A brief beep might occur when connecting and disconnecting swipers.
  • Using the app with a language other than US English might cause the app to misbehave when entering expiration dates.
  • A brief moment might elapse between swiper "powering up" and "connected" alerts.
  • Expiration Date Picker might show day on some devices. Please ignore the day, and pick the appropriate month and year.
  • Using Virtual Hub to capture a transaction that contains a tip amount, might result in a captured amount higher than intended.
  • Searching for our app using older versions of the Google Play app might return no results. Try searching for "mobile hub" instead of "payhub", or using Google Play on your web browser instead.
